With this practice you will work with and be mentored by young and forward-thinking Principals that understand the technical aspects and the true value of an excellent Paraplanner like yourself. The team consists of 3.4 staff; 2 Advisers/Principals and 1.4 support staff. We share clients, an office and have joint functions with a friendly accounting firm of ~15 people and therefore the office has a medium-sized firm buzz.
To help us work towards our vision, we are looking for a technically sound paraplanner to join our team.
As a Paraplanner with a high attention to detail, your thorough strategic, technical, product and investment research and sound technical expertise have taken you beyond writing generic advice documents and now you are looking to write something more client-focused and personalised.
Ideally you will be competent in using and understanding the complexity of XPLAN – particularly how to get the most out of the advice generator efficiently and with little to no double entry required. If not, you will be interested in becoming an expert in this and will be supported by the Principals to do so.
Ideally you will also have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar paraplanning role, have an Advanced Diploma in Financial Services and are wanting a rewarding career in paraplanning. Alternatively, you could be a highly experienced adviser who would like to take a step sideward to obtain greater flexibility and work-life balance.
Your principle role is to thoroughly yet efficiently research, formulate advice and write highly tailored advice documents which clearly demonstrate how the advice aligns to the clients’ SMART objectives and is in the clients’ best interest.
You will be challenged in the role to research & develop strategies as well as and model projections for our high net worth clients with interesting and different needs including SMSFs, LRBA, estate planning and tax structuring (not just standard personal risk insurance and superannuation).
Attracting high net worth clients with interesting and different needs you will be required and challenged in strategising, researching and modelling on SMSF, LRBA, taxation, estate planning and structuring, not just your standard risk and superannuation, although that is still a key part of your role.
A key part of ensuring that you can efficiently write highly tailored advice and maintain highly compliant client files which can “stand on their own two feet”, is to take detailed notes in every client interaction; particularly client meetings.
You will be closely supported and trained by the Principals to become highly competent in meeting these requirements. Therefore, as long as your vision is aligned to the company’s vision; you culturally fit with our team; you meet the “you” requirements outlined above; and have a strong desire to become highly competent in “the role,” you will be considered.
